Albemarle Wrestling Has a Solid Day at Bobby Lloyd Invitational

The Albemarle Wrestling team continued the early portion of its schedule with a solid day at the Bobby Lloyd Invitational in Thomasville.

Highlighted by Vince Gregory’s tournament victory in the 152 lb weight class for JV, the ‘Dogs had a total of 7 wrestlers place in the top four between JV and Varsity. 

For the varsity, Christian Harris went 2-2 to place third while Miles Gregory went 1-1 to place fourth. Both of them are sophomores.

For the junior varsity, in addition to Vince Gregory’s first place finish, Andrew Weiszer, David Hoggard, and Armando Popocoa placed 2nd while Nasir Good Craig placed third.

The Bulldogs picked up great experience as they head into a week with matches at Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday at 6, and at R-S Central on Friday at 5.
