AHS is set to Honor the Past, Celebrate the Present, Embrace the Future.
The 2022 season for the Albemarle Bulldogs football team is a season-long celebration. Albemarle High School is celebrating 100 years of Bulldog football in 2022.
This coming Friday, October 7th, the Bulldogs are recognizing 100 years during homecoming by coming together to “Celebrate the Past, Honor the Present, and Embrace the Future.”
The Bulldogs will honor the past by having a video booth set up for anyone to come and share their story of Bulldog football through the years. The individual videos will be edited together and released for everyone to see and download on social media. When the Bulldog captains take the field, they will be supported by former Bulldogs serving as honorary captains.
The Bulldogs will celebrate the present by packing out Bulldog Stadium in support of the 2022 version of the AHS Bulldogs as well as by having the 2022 Homecoming Ceremony at halftime, crowning a new Homecoming Queen.
The Bulldogs will embrace the future by recognizing the Albemarle Youth League and Middle School football teams and cheerleading squads.. The AYL & AMS football players and cheerleaders represent the future of the great tradition that is Albemarle football.
Commemorative Long-Sleeve T-Shirts will be available for $20 during the game and will be worn on the sidelines by the Bulldogs coaching staff.
Come home on Friday, October 7th as the Bulldogs Honor the Past, Celebrate the Present, and Embrace the Future! Kickoff for the game against South Stanly is at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased here:
