Bulldog Athletics Starts 2024/25 Season
The 2024-2025 athletic season begins this week for the Albemarle Bulldogs with a men’s soccer match and 2 volleyball matches.
Bulldog volleyball gets the campaign rolling with a season opening-visit to Thomasville on Tuesday before the Red ‘Dogs pay the Blue ‘Dogs a return visit on Thursday. Both of the matches start with the junior varsity teams squaring off at 4:30pm followed by varsity matches. The Bulldogs are under the direction of first year coach Armani Baldwin following a year as the assistant last season. The Bulldogs return key talent from last season and add a couple of newcomers with freshmen Eriyanna Baldwin and Gracie Eudy joining the varsity squad. Bulldog men’s soccer kicks off their 2024 campaign with a trip to West Davidson on Wednesday evening at 6:00pm. West Davidson comes to Bulldog Stadium for the home opener on Monday, August 19th. Led by Coach Daniel Ubaldo in his 3rd year at the helm of the program, the Bulldogs return key starters Noah Carpenter, Nick Yang, and Joshua Ramos. The core of a talented group that won the conference as middle schoolers remains intact as the Bulldogs look to build on a step-up last season. Bulldog Football participates in its final tune-up before regular season play when the ‘Dogs visit South Davidson on Friday, August 16th for a jamboree. Bulldog football kicks off the regular season with a home game against Asheboro High School on Friday, August 23rd at 7:30pm.
